OCD and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP): How to Make Good Treatment Even Better with Stacey Rice Dobrinsky, PhD. Licensed Psychologist
This presentation discusses Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. The goal is to provide the participants with practical information and knowledge on how to improve their implementation of Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), both within and between therapy sessions. It will focus on the nuances of treatment, and includes significant time spent on troubleshooting difficult situations and clients. Additionally, Dr. Dobrinsky is address evidence-based ways to “supercharge” ERP, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and inhibitory learning theories.

Learning Objectives:
-Identify the common mistakes that therapists make when implementing ERP and how to correct them
-Learn how to improve and “supercharge” treatment for clients who are treatment resistant or slow to respond to ERP
-Understand how to structure a typical ERP session and how to provide flexible, yet evidence-based treatment within each session.

Stacey Rice Dobrinsky, PhD
Dr. Stacey Rice Dobrinsky has more than ten years of experience treating children and adolescents with OCD and anxiety disorders. She is trained through the IOCDF’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Dr. Dobrinsky presents on OCD, Anxiety and ACT both locally and nationally.
